Today’s guest Sue Dyson is a former President of the British Equine Veterinary Association. She is an accomplished rider who has produced horses to top national level in both eventing and show jumping, and last, but not least she is known as one of the top equine orthopaedic specialists in the world. Sue recently presented a study followed by a documentary titled the 24 behaviours of the ridden horse in pain – shifting the paradigm of how we see lameness (see trailer below). And with the study Sue and her team has also put together an ethogram (below) designed to help riders determine whether their horses are healthy or in pain.
